Talent — For candidates

Your next opportunity should make sense—not just pay the bills.

Our background is software engineering, not recruitment. That changes what we ask you, and it changes what we tell you.

More than a resume

Skills matter. Context matters more.

These are the five things we are actually assessing in a conversation with you. None of them are about how your CV is formatted.

Technical capability

Whether you can actually do the work, not just name the tools.

Experience

The kinds of systems and problems you have already lived through.

Communication

How clearly you explain decisions, trade-offs and uncertainty.

Environment

Whether the way the team works is a place where you will do well.

Motivation

Why this role, and what would make you stay.

The objective isn't to send you more resumes. It's to introduce you to people worth meeting.

How we work with you

Four things we commit to.

01

A conversation first

We talk to you before your details go anywhere. No exceptions.

02

The real description

What the role actually involves day to day, including the parts that are not attractive.

03

A straight answer

If a role is not a fit, or you are not right for it, we will tell you rather than go quiet.

04

Your consent each time

Your CV is not sent to a company without you knowing which company it is.

A note on honesty

We would rather tell you a role is wrong for you than talk you into it.

A placement that does not work costs everyone. If we think a role is a poor fit, or that your expectations and the market are some distance apart, you will hear that from us directly and early.

Where to start

Not seeing a role? Introduce yourself anyway.

We do not publish a job board. Roles change constantly and most of the work we do is for positions that are never advertised, so the useful first step is a conversation rather than a listing.

Hiring instead?

We don't just recruit into technology. We understand it.

Tell us what you are looking for and what you would rather avoid.
